Olympic Fever hits the College

College News
08 August 2024

St Laurence's College continues to buzz with Olympic excitement. The global spectacle has inspired a number of College events and initiatives.

One of the standout moments so far for the College has been the performance of Old Boy Luke Willian in the Men's Triathlon and Mixed Relay. We congratulate Luke on his efforts - he represented the College and nation proudly.

Adding to the excitement was the Student Leadership Team's week-long House Olympics which featured futsal and dodgeball competitions. These events fostered healthy and competitive games. Congratulations to the following Houses on their victories.

Futsal: Xavier and Treacy (Junior Winners) and Nagle and Hogan (Senior Winners)

Dodgeball: Rice and Kilian (Junior Winners) and a tied Senior final

Another highlight of the Olympic period has been our Primary and Senior School students making predictions and answering a number of Olympic-themed questions. When questioned about their favourite Olympic athletes - Sam Kerr, Molly O'Callaghan and Ariarne Titmus featured regularly.
