St Laurence’s College celebrates Class of 2024 results
St Laurence’s College is proud to acknowledge the recent academic and vocational education achievements of the Class of 2024.
The cohort showed determination in all facets of their learning to achieve the following results:
- Three students received an ATAR 99 or above
- 14% (24) of students received an ATAR 95 or above
- 28% (47) of students received an ATAR 90 or above
- 100% of students received a Queensland Certificate of Education
- 56 Early University Offers
The College proudly offers a holistic education with a multitude of learning and career pathways available to our students. In 2024 at St Laurence's College, the completion rates were strong in all vocational subjects.
College Principal, Mr Ben Lowrie, extends his congratulations to the cohort.
“The strength of the 2024 ATAR results reflects the dedication and commitment of the hard-working Year 12 cohort. I congratulate them on their fantastic achievements. Similarly I acknowledge the dedication of the entre cohort to achieve a 100% QCE rate and the attainment of over 330 Certificate and Diploma qualifications this year,” Mr Lowrie said.
Dean of Teaching and Learning (Acting), Ms Kirsten Wardrop, also noted the hard work of the Class of 2024 that helped them to achieve their own sense of personal excellence.
“Personal excellence is key to success! By committing to their studies, our Laurie’s Gentlemen of 2024 have opened unlimited opportunities for future learning and a bright and promising future.”
The College would like to congratulate the following students on their outstanding achievements:
- 2024 College Dux: Kyle Latimer
- Proxime Accessit (runner-up Dux of the College): Mitchell West
- Brother Spillane Memorial Award (ranked third in the Dux calculations): Alastair Greensill
Mr Lowrie specially noted the achievements of our award winners.
“Personally, I commend Kyle, Mitchell and Alastair as recipients of these prestigious College awards. I also thank the staff of St Laurence’s College for their efforts in assisting all boys to strive for their own personal excellence.”
There were five occasions that students achieved 100% for their subjects. These students are:
Marco Famorca – Music
Joshua Fisher – Film, TV & New Media
Alastair Greensill – English & Literature Extension and Philosophy & Reason
Liam Hughes – English
Mitchell West - Physics
A further six students achieved an outstanding 99% in their respective subjects.
In addition, eight students were Certificate of Academic Commendation recipients, meaning they reached straight As across their six subjects. Congratulations to:

The VET Program at the College was strong again this year, with many students choosing Certificate Courses as their pathway to personal excellence.

Certificate II: 90% (219)
Certificate III: 25% (62)
Certificate IV: 1% (2)
Diploma of Business Graduates: 12% (30)
