Sports Wrap Up - Recap of Sporting Events
In the last week, St Laurence’s College competed against Padua in the final round of Term 3 AIC Fixtures. In the game of Rugby League, we had a mix of wins and losses, but the highlight of the day was our Year 7A and B teams who both secured wins and undefeated season in the process. This is a great achievement and congratulations to all staff and students involved. Our First XIII team played a tough game against a very strong AIC Premier side Padua and thanks goes to all those players in Year 12 who have played their last game for the College.
The College had a successful day in Tennis, winning the majority of games and in Basketball, the College achieved fantastic results in all age groups with the First V finishing the season in 3rd place, and overall the program finished 2nd in the Aggregate which is Lauries' best finish since 2013. A big well done to all students and staff involved in this success.
Reminder - Track and Field Holiday Training
During the holidays, our AIC Track and Field students will continue to train and participate in warm-up meets to prepare for the AIC Championships on October 4th and 5th.
We encourage all students who wish to be selected for the AIC team or students who want to improve their general fitness and speed for their specific team sports to read the holiday training information available on the College App.
Thank you!
We extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in sports throughout Term 3. It was a busy term, and we sincerely appreciate the efforts of everyone involved. Without the dedication of staff, students, and parents, sports would not be possible. So, once again, a massive thank you to all of you.
We hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable holiday so that the boys can start Term 4 sports with renewed energy!
