Confraternity Rugby League

During the holidays, St Laurence’s College travelled to Townsville to compete in the Confraternity Carnival Shield hosted by St Ignatius College. Our team performed well and secured fifth place in Division II. Congratulations to all the boys who participated, as well as the coaching staff - Paul Boase, Martin Langton, and Managers Mr John Butterworth and Mr Sam Dickman for accompanying the boys on the trip.

Basketball Clinic and Trial Games

I want to extend thanks to the numerous boys who participated in the basketball clinic and trial games against BBC and Terrace during the holidays. The boys had outstanding training sessions, and the matches against BBC and Terrace served as excellent preparation for the upcoming AIC season. A big thank you to Mr Wiltshire, Mr Smith and all the basketball coaches for organising the clinic and these trial games.

Holiday Tennis and Age Championships

The College Tennis Age Championships took place last Sunday at Griffith University, with over 80 boys taking part. It was a fantastic event and served as great preparation for the upcoming AIC season. Thanks to Mr Cook, Mr Richards and all the College coaches, as well as the Griffith staff for organising these events.
