University Open Days

Tertiary Open Days offer invaluable opportunities for individuals to explore potential career paths, connect with industry professionals, and gain insights into specific areas of interest.  At these events, prospective students can explore academic offerings, campus life and speak to lecturers and current students about future study and employment.  These events offer immersive experiences, including facility tours, lectures, and interactions with faculty and students.  See below for upcoming dates and times.

QTAC Key Dates

Queensland Year 12 students can start their QTAC Application and they can register for their ATAR in the ATAR Portal from 1 August and should be reminded to do so with their personal email address not a school one! We still rate our Hot tips: Your ultimate guide to a successful QTAC application blog and would love for you to share it with any new staff you have that may wish to know more.

ATAR Release - 13 December

QTAC will release the ATAR to students 9am 13 December. ATAR Reports will be available via the QTAC School Portal for authorised users at 12pm 13 December.

Australian Government School Leaver program

We are excited to share a fantastic opportunity with the Australian Government for 2023/24 Year 12 school leavers who are ready to kick-start their careers. 

Applications for the 2025 Australian Government School Leaver Program will be opening on 7 August and closing on 28 August.  We have positions available across over 20 participating Australian Government agencies in Brisbane, Cairns, Canberra, Darwin, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

Pathways into Queensland Universities

There are many different pathways that will see you gain entry into an undergraduate course/degree at Queensland universities. It's important to do your pathway research as you need to choose an appropriate and achievable pathway at the end of Year 12. Check out the pathways offered at the following universities to see which may suit you and your Year 12 results best.  Please see Mrs Dyer in the careers office for more information.

SLConX - Information Technology, Cyber and Web Design

On Tuesday, our SLConX event in ERPAC focused on Information Technology, Cyber Security and Web Design. Families had the opportunity to hear from alumni currently working in these industries and learn about the diverse and in-depth career options available.
