Brisbane Catholic Education Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduation Liturgy

On Thursday our Year 12 Yuuingan Yari students were part of the Brisbane Catholic Education Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Graduation Liturgy. This Liturgy comprises of students from Catholic schools within the Brisbane Archdiocese. It was a wonderful occasion for our senior students to celebrate this milestone as they near the end of their schooling journey but also incorporating it with strong ties to culture. Bishop Tim presided over the liturgy and it is always a powerful event with students' parents also being present as well. While there, we connected with Uncle Marlon Riley and Uncle Eric Ellis who both performed the Smoking Ceremony that preceded the liturgy. We congratulate all our Yuuingan Yari students and wish them the best of luck for their Mock Exams.

Sacramental Mass

On Monday 2 September, 15 students and two staff members will undertake their Sacraments as part of a special mass with Bishop Tim Norton and Fr William. The Mass marks the culmination of the students' Sacramental Program they began last term. Students are choosing to undertake various sacraments including Baptism, Confirmation and Communion. This will be a significant milestone for the students in their faith journey and we look forward to students joining with their families to celebrate this.
