Track and Field – AIC Championships

Last week, Lauries competed in the Annual AIC Track and Field Championships. This year, our Senior Team showed great determination and teamwork, battling numerous injuries on the final day, the team fought hard and finishing in 7th place. While it may not have been the outcome they hoped for, their hard work and sportsmanship were commendable. Our Primary Team shone brightly, securing an impressive 4th place overall! Their dedication and enthusiasm were evident in every event, and they represented our school with pride.

We are especially proud of all our athletes, but special congratulations to the Following students who won their individual events over the 2 days.

All Schools Touch Tournament Recap

Last weekend, the Gold Coast played host to the highly anticipated All Schools Touch Tournament, where our school teams showcased their talent against schools from across Queensland. We are proud to report strong performances across all age groups, with each team giving their best on the field. All of our teams finished in the top 3 of their pools, which is very commendable achievement.

A special thank you goes to Ms Wilson for her coordination and leadership, ensuring that all teams were well-prepared and supported throughout the event. Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Mr Ward and Mr Witt for their invaluable coaching, helping our students develop their skills and strategies.

Overall, the tournament was a fantastic experience and we look forward to building on this success in future competitions, with Lauries hosting the AIC Touch Championships in 2 weeks time.
