Qld Schools Futsal Tournament – U/12 Winners!
On Monday and Tuesday, Lauries had the privilege of competing in the Queensland Schools Futsal Tournament. Following last year's victory, the team was eager to defend their title, and they did not disappoint! Our boys in Black and Gold emerged as champions once again, making it a memorable two-day event. The students’ conduct and representation of the College were exemplary throughout the tournament.
A big thank you goes to Mr Jamie Davies, the College’s Manchester City Football Head Coach, for leading the boys over the two days. The team had an incredible experience and showcased some outstanding futsal skills.
2025 Henschell Cricket Clinic
Once again next year, our cricket partners at Henschell Cricket Academy will host an exclusive camp for St Laurence’s students. Please refer to the College app for further details.
Upcoming Trial Matches
This weekend, we will compete in trial matches against Villanova College in AFL and volleyball. These trials will play an important role in the team selection process for the upcoming AIC season. Best of luck to all students involved.
Sporting Excellence Awards 2024 – Nominations
This year, we will once again be celebrating those students who have excelled at Sport across multiple sports throughout the year. If you believe you (or your son) qualify for this award, please email the Sports Office.
To be eligible to receive the award, you must qualify via the following Criteria.
a) Must have represented the College in an ‘A’ team for the majority of fixtures of an AIC season (must be a full season AIC sport) in at least two sports and represented the College at least one AIC Championship (Swimming/Cross Country/Track and Field)
OR:
b) Must have represented the College in an ‘A’ team in the majority of fixtures of an AIC season (must be a full season AIC sport) in at least one sport and represented the College at least two AIC Championships (Swimming/Cross Country/Track and Field)
