Sports Update: Overcoming the Rain and Looking Ahead
Term 2 sport is officially underway, although the wet weather has certainly presented some challenges. While we had a strong start in Week 1 of training and trials, the heavy rain across Brisbane has made training and trials difficult over the past week. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding, and we look forward to resuming normal training in Week 1 of Term 2.
Despite the washouts, we were fortunate to see our First XI and Second XI Football teams take the field against Villanova College over the weekend. Both teams put in impressive performances, securing victories in their trials. A huge thank you to all the families and staff who braved the wet conditions to support the teams—it was fantastic to see some competitive action despite the weather.
Looking ahead to the holidays, several of our Rugby Union and Football teams will be competing in carnival competitions. The Rugby First XV squad and Rugby Foundation Squad will take part in the annual Ballymore Cup, while multiple Football teams, including the First XI, will compete in the EREA Football Carnival at Nudgee College.
We wish all our teams the best of luck and extend our gratitude to the dedicated staff who are giving up their holiday time to support our students.
