Year 12 Formal

Last night numerous staff were in attendance to celebrate this significant milestone with our Year 12 students and their partners. The Formal marked another important occasion on the calendar for this cohort who are in their final year. It was lovely to witness proud parents and caregivers at the pre-formal part of the evening as they marvelled at how their once new-born is now so grownup and counting down the months to the next phase of their lives.  There was certainly a buzz of excitement in the air and I am sure everyone enjoyed the evening.  Thanks must go to the Engagement & Wellbeing Prefects, Nate Bainbrigge, Harrison Fox and Morgan Oiso who with the assistance of Mr David Knight did the line share of organisation.  Mr Will Pike, the Events Team, and Ms Jane Fawcett at Pastoral were instrumental behind the scenes.

End of Term 1

Congratulations to our Year 7 cohort who can tick off their first term of Middle School. I hope that all students in all year levels are happy with the way they engaged with their subjects, teachers and assessment this term, culminating in pleasing results and positive interim report. Well done to the students who saw the term right through to the end and joined us for our Easter liturgy at the close of the day. There are often some students wanting to ‘pull up stumps’ early and finish before this time, but a valuable life lesson is to see the term through to the end. Thanks to Mr Heshusius, his team and the musicians for a lovely Easter liturgy which was a most fitting way to finish the term.

Holiday Wishes & Safety

This holiday and Easter break provides a much-needed opportunity for our community to pause, rest and recharge our batteries for Term 2 which is always an exceptionally busy term. Holidays also present our students with more time on their hands which can be used to engage in online activities and gaming.  I encourage them to be vigilant with their online interactions and manage their security to ensure that they know exactly who they are communicating with.  Whilst gaming can mean late nights and subsequent sleep-ins, it is important that sensible bedtimes and school-friendly routines are in place before the beginning of next term.
