End of Year Concert Series:
Congratulations to members of Treblehood and Cambiata who performed at the Choral & Guitar at St Ignatius last week. It was a beautiful concert, and we raised over $500 for the Jesuit Mission’s work in Myanmar.
Congratulations also to Guitar Orchestra 2 & the Year 5 Guitar Ensemble who were showcased at the Guitar Finale Concert last Thursday. This event is always a wonderful opportunity or our younger guitarist to connect with students in the intermediate ensembles before they join the co-curricular program in Term 4.
Our final End of Year concert will be Jazz on the Hill in Term 4. SLC Big Bands will be joined by St Rita’s and Centenary State High School on Gair field. This event will also feature a special performance by the Queensland Youth Orchestra Big Band.

Year 5 Music Program
The Year 5 Ensembles rehearsal also ended this week with students now electing to continue their chosen instrument.
Families interested in continuing their son’s musical journey at Lauries are reminded co-curricular contracts are due before the end of this Term to continue lessons in Term 4. For any further information, please contact the Music Department.
