Mini Vinnies Update

Nathaniel Lau (Year 5) has taken out top position to be Superchef Champion of 2024! A huge congratulations to him and all the finalists for what was a very exciting and hotly contested Superchef Final. Nathaniel won with a delicious, marinated chicken and rice combo. Flynn Smith (Year 6) was runner up with his Ice Cream Sandwiches and Lachie Pfeffer took out third place with his Mini Churros.

To say this has been a big competition is an understatement! As a community we raised over $1200 during Superchef 2024 and this year we broke a record with the number of chefs entering from each class with 5MR taking out the highest entry numbers.

Thank you to all of our Mini Vinnies crew for helping with the set up/pack down each day, collection of money, design and creation of tickets and all-round organisation of the event. A big thanks to the Primary teachers for helping out with every round. Thanks to Mr McGeachin for his assistance with the final Superchef video and thank you to all of the parents who supported the students in buying the ingredients, cooking the items and getting the goods to school. We know it can be expensive and time-consuming. You have all helped many people you will never meet and we are grateful.

Lastly, thank you to all the families who were able to donate to the SVDP Christmas appeal. Santa was on scene this week to pick up the goods to take to West End where the contributions will be given to locals to make their Christmas a little more special.

Kate Flanagan
Merry Christmas everyone!
